The Warped WebRing
Today the mainstream operating systems are Windows XP and Macintosh OS X. There are variations to those operating systems, and arguments could be made that Linux is becoming a major player. But in the good old days of computers, there was another system, one that is worthy of a look at, especially by this site, since it is a totally warped OS.
The name of the site is The Warped WebRing. This site was established to connect and publicize websites related to OS/2 Warp. I can remember when this OS gave Windows 3.1 a real run for it’s money, and was considered a viable alternative for running a computer. There are still avid users out there and using it, as this site shows. Here anyone who is interested in OS/2 Warp can find where to go and hang out with other users.
This site is really WARPED!! (Sorry for the pun, but I just can’t resist). While the Warp-o-Meter gives this site a 3 for content, it gets an honorary 9 for it use of the word warped. Ya gotta love a site that has a sense of humor (and anyone who is still using OS/2 has gotta have one of those!).
