The Flat Earth Society
Everyone knows that the Earth is round. Pictures from space show it. We learned about it in our high school physics class. But there is still a group of dedicated individuals who maintain that this planet is really flat. Thanks to the Internet and the Warped site, we now have a chance to listen to them expound on their theories.
The name of the site is The Flat Earth Society. Here they’ll tell you who they are, what they’re doing, and what they feel they are accomplishing in the world. You can look at some of the latest theories and insights, and, if you’re interested, you can even become an honorary member of the Flat Earth Society.
They make five arguments as to why this is a flat earth. They sound convincing. There are arguments as to why the earth if flat. But one problem they have is when you click to go to the evidence page, you get a message “This page is currently under construction. Please come back when we have our act together”. It seems to me that if you in the minority and your are trying to convince the majority to come to your side, you better have your ducks in a row. But you can follow their current activities, and what you can do to help those activities succeede.
There is some interesting theories discussed here. Some you may agree with, some you may not. But I think Stevie Wonder has the right idea when he sings “will it go round in circles”. The Warped rating scale gives this site a 7 out of a possible 10 rating.
