The FBI Files

Today’s Warped site is brought to you courtesy of the History Channel. No, they aren’t sponsoring it nor did they ask us to feature it. But I was contemplating what site to feature tonight, and the TV was on. There was a program on the History Channel called “Declassified”, and it was about the FBI investigations of John Lennon and Yoko Ono during the 1970′s. Well, one Google search later, and the site was found.

The site is called The FBI Files. Here you can browse official FBI files on all sorts of weird and unusual stuff (at least to us, it might seem that way). But these are the types of investigations that were undertaken when J. Edgar Hoover ran the bureau. There are files on (besides John Lennon) Mickey Mantle, Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, and Albert Einstein. Read about the Watergate, the Hindenberg disaster, and Jonestown. Are spy stories you cup of tea? Then read about Anthony Blunt and the Profumo Matter. There usual UFO, Aliens, and Extraterrestrial files are here as well.
This site is enough to make anyone paranoid. These documents were obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, which shows that it is possible to find out what goes on behind closed doors in Washington. Now if we could only find the files on J. Edgar, and who his dress maker was. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site an 8.5, but that may change if thinks it is being wire-tapped.
