Show Us Your Character
Americans are. without a doubt, some of the most unique people in the world. Each of us has our own set of beliefs, morals, interests, and passions that give us that unique character. Collectively, it makes us the greatest nation on Earth. Individually it makes us, well, it makes us the subject of today’s Warped site.
The name of the site is Show Us Your Character, and is sponsored by the USA Cable Network. That is the network that has given us Monk, House, and the new detective show Psyche. But this web site highlights what makes us all individuals and makes us all unique. Here they are looking for the characters of the USA. If you think you have something that may set you apart from your neighbors, or if you have a talent that everyone wants to see when your groups of friends get together, then this site is for you.
Among some of the featured characters, there are:
Meghan Miller, Miss Teen America, a wonderful ventriloquist;
Anacron, original member of the LA Breakers dance squad;
Texas Snake Man, who puts rattle snakes in his mouth and spins around,
Treadmill Painting Guy, who makes great looking paintings while working on a treadmill.
There are many, many more people associated with this site, and anyone can join. The USA Network is sponsoring a contest, with the grand prize being a major publicity campaign and other goodies. There is also 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, and one Viewer’s Choice award of $1,000.00. So what have you got to loose. I am sure that many of the subjects of this web site would be perfect for this contest, but unfortunately the Warp-o-Meter didn’t qualify. But it did give the site a rating of 8.0.
