Geographic Database of Bigfoot/Sasquatch Sightings & Reports
Okay, itlooks like Fall has finally fallen, and it’s getting cold out. The leaves are falling, the animals are getting ready to hibernate for the rest of the year, and before long, it’s going to be a quite wilderness in the woods. What a better time to go looking for that infamous character of the wilderness, that star of screen and supermarket tabloids, Bigfoot.
But before you go looking, it might help to see where he is, or was, and where he may be now. That is why you need the help of today’s site, which is maintained by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization. The is the Geographic Database of Bigfoot/Sasquatch Sightings & Reports. This comprehensive database of credible sightings and related reports is maintained by an all-volunteer network of researchers, archivists, and investigators in the United States and Canada. If it’s been reported, it is most likely here.
If you review the data, you can see where you can go to most likely find one of these fellows. If you see one, you can report it to them using the form that is hot linked on the site. The report will be kept quiet and not published if you request it. If you wish, the sighting report and the follow up investigation notes are added to the main sightings database (accessible from the links on the page). Reports added to the database during the current month and previous three months are also listed on the Recent Additions page.
So if you want to head into the woods this fall for something other than deer or elk, this site is one that you should keep in mind. It is always better to be prepared and not need it than the other way around. If you’re not looking for Bigfoot, then this could give you some areas to stay away from. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site an 8.0 rating.
